Immune & Lymphatic
Our immune system, our main defense agains foreign materials, is made up of organs, cells, and proteins, and the reactions that create resistance to all the bad things our bodies encounter. Antibodies and T cells are the main defenses created in our immune system to neutralize pathogens outside and inside our cells. The lymphatic system is part of our immune system, as well as part of our circulatory system, and is the network of vessels to drain the tissue fluid, or lymph, back to the blood. The lymphatic system is also a system of defense because the lymph fluid helps filter harmful substances.
