Muscular
The muscular system is made up of three main types of muscles: skeletal, visceral, and cardiac. Our skeletal muscular system is made up of tissues that control our skeletal system (our bones). The muscles in this system can change shape, extend and contract, to pull our bodies in different directions. The muscular system is the main system controlling movement as well as keeping our body stationery or upright. The muscular system is controlled by the nervous system, sending signals to produce coordinated actions. This system also assists with circulation, contracting like a pump, to push fluids throughout your body. Involuntary muscle contractions also help move food through our digestive system. Essential oils can be used in various ways to calm and sooth the muscular system, supporting the body to recover and feel better.
