History
Revered for its antiseptic and antibacterial properties, bergamot has been a staple in Italian folk medicine for years. Its fresh scent, and purifying properties have made bergamot oil a popular ingredient in soaps, cosmetics, perfumes and used to promote relaxation and calm stress.
Oil Description
Bergamot oil comes from the most gentle of citrus plants. It both purifies and invigorates skin. Its calming effects make it ideal to diffuse in classrooms, work or other high stress environments.
Cautions
May cause sunlight sensitivity. Avoid sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying product. Use with a carrier for sensitive skin. Keep out of reach of children. Consult your physician if you are pregnant, nursing or under a doctor’s care. Do not put oils directly in your eyes (oils can drip into eyes – if this happens, flush with fractionated coconut oil, not water). Do not drip oils into the ear canal. Avoid sensitive areas.
