History
Blue tansy’s properties were first recognized by the Greeks. The name “tansy” is derived from the Greek “ athanasia” translating to immortality and was incorporated into the ancients embalming practices. Popularity and admiration for the plant spread and it soon became the main staple of 16 century british gardens. It’s cleansing and properties were used by 18 century monks as a face wash. The Irish took advantage of the herb’s soothing properties by combining it with a salt bath to remedy joint pain.
Oil Description
Derived from the vibrant yellow blue tansy flower of Morocco, blue tansy essential oil promotes restoration of skin, muscles and mood. The fragrant uplifting aroma makes it an excellent choice to diffuse to reduce stress and promote joyfulness. The primary chemical component of the oil , sabinene, supports healthy radiant skin. Used in doTERRA Deep Blue Rub, the chamazulene chemical component of the oil promotes muscle health and can help soothe inflammation.
