Ingredients/Chemical Components

geranial, neral

Primary Benefits

  • Supports healthy digestion.
  • Soothes aching muscles, joints, and tendons.
  • Promotes healthy connective tissue.
  • Promotes healthy inflammatory response.

History

Lemongrass originates in India and neighboring countries, where it was utilized in culinary dishes. Once its many benefits were discovered, they began distilling the lemongrass leaves into oil for soaps, detergent and cosmetics.

Oil Description

Lemongrass has powerful health benefits which stem from their chemical components, geranial and neral (aldehydes). They are known to promote healthy gastrointestinal function when taken internally, and feelings of calm when diffused. These chemical components also make lemongrass a powerful, yet fragrant surface cleanser. Lemongrass also has beautifying skin benefits when applied topically.

Cautions

Use with a carrier for sensitive skin. Keep out of reach of children. Consult your physician if you are pregnant, nursing or under a doctor’s care. Do not put oils directly in your eyes (oils can drip into eyes – if this happens, flush with fractionated coconut oil, not water). Do not drip oils into the ear canal. Avoid sensitive areas.
