History
Red cedars are known to grow 100 feet tall and are mentioned several times in the Bible. The Egyptians used the oil in their embalming process. In addition, the ancient Greeks, Romans and Persians used cedarwood oil not only for everyday cleansing rituals but also for sacred ceremonial purposes.

Cedarwood is commonly used to promote feelings of deep relaxation. It’s grounding and comforting aroma induces a sense of peace and liveliness.
Cautions
Do not ingest. Use with a carrier for sensitive skin. Keep out of reach of children. Consult your physician if you are pregnant, nursing or under a doctor’s care. Do not put oils directly in your eyes (oils can drip into eyes – if this happens, flush with fractionated coconut oil, not water). Do not drip oils into the ear canal. Avoid sensitive areas.

Directions for Use
- Diffuse with lavender for a peaceful sleep.
- Apply onto bottoms of feet and back of skull to calm the mind and help ward off nightmares.
- For a calm and grounding atmosphere in the home or workplace, diffuse 2 drops of cedarwood oil with 2 drops of wintergreen.
- Mix 1-2 drops with facial toner, moisturizer, shampoo, etc. Dilute with coconut oil before applying for use on children or people with sensitive skin. Repeat as necessary.
- For a healthy scalp, blend 2 drops of cedarwood oil with coconut oil, and work the mixture in for 5 minutes.
- To sustain energy during workout, rub 1-2 drops onto chest area prior to physical activity.
- Ward off moths by adding a few drops of cedarwood oil onto cotton balls and placing in cabinets or other storage areas.
- Reduce inflammation and stiff joints by adding 5-10 drops of cedarwood oil to bathwater.
- Reduce irritated skin by blending cedarwood oil with coconut oil, and massaging directly onto area of concern.
- For urinary tract support, rub onto bladder area several times daily.
