The gigantic copaiba tree is found in Central and South America and has been utilized by natives of Brazil for centuries for its medicinal properties. Europeans noted how this resin was applied to infants as well as returning warriors. Research indicated this was done to calm their nervous systems and protect to the skin. Since its discovery in the 1500’s, copaiba oil has been included in products such as cosmetics, soaps and creams.

Oil Description

When taken internally, copaiba oil has been shown to provide support for the immune, digestive, cardiovascular and nervous systems. Studies show that its main component, caryophyllene, has purifying qualities that support things such as cellular health to gastrointestinal tract function when taken internally. Copaiba shares the chemical, beta-caryophyllene with black pepper, which is known to calm anxious feelings.
